SALT (Southern African Luxury Travel) Concepts has been established in 2008 and is a South African registered Destination Management Company based in Cape Town. As an owner run and fully suited DMC, we offer unique and professional services in Corporate, Individual and Special Interest Travel, with a primary focus on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events). SALT Concepts creates and delivers innovative, impactful journeys, incentives, events and meetings in South Africa, Namibia, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Zimbabwe, Botswana & Mozambique.

We do confirm that SALT Concepts has implemented and has been fully complied with all the safety measures and safe travels protocols. We do follow the latest advises and recommendations from South African government authorities and the WHO.

Our Company consists of a team of six and the following measures have been taken to keep all staff members safe:

– home offices and home office days (more than in office days) have been introduced to minimize personal contact, staff takes rotations, and only the minimum of staff is in the office at the time

– social distancing at the office has been enabled by adjusting the office layout

– hygiene at the bathroom and kitchen area has been scrutinized

– the office space is being cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis – the cleaning staff has been instructed thoroughly

– all employees are aware to stay at home should they show any symptoms of Covid-19

We at SALT Concepts strongly believe that information is key to a successful containment of the virus. We educate ourselves and on a daily basis share newest information on development of Covid-19 among the team. Direct and good communication with our clients prior to their travel has always been very important to us. Now it enables us to advise the clients regarding responsible travel during the pandemic (e.g. wearing face masks). We stay in contact with all our clients during their travels and are available 24/7 should any problems or concerns arise. The travel documentation for our clients has been updated and information of appropriate behavior during the pandemic has been added.

All our staff members have been instructed to wear masks, disinfect their hands and keep social distance when interacting with the guests or suppliers. SALT Concepts prides itself with delivery of highest standard of service. From all our suppliers we have requested information and their protocols on Covid-19 safety procedures. With our personalized approach as well as fast ways of communication on all levels we react promptly should any Covid-19 related concerns arise among our clients, partners and suppliers. Our payments are usually made in advance online, therefore our staff members do not get in contact with any cash.

In order to provide the highest level of customer service we always take care of minimizing of waiting times during check-ins or transfers for our clients. In the nearest future we will stress this especially so that physical contacts with other guests is minimized. We do not book meals such as buffets at restaurants and do make sure that appropriate spacing in cars or coaches is guaranteed.
